Specifically, to commemorate the life and legacy of the pioneer Martin Luther King Jr., the Embassy tweeted: “On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and we remember Archbishop Iakovos’ support for Dr. King not only with his words but also with his actions marching hand in hand with him in Selma, AL, on March 15, 1965.”
